Psp 3001, Ofw 5.01

As the title implies, I just picked up (from goodwill) a 3001 with 5.01 on it. I've read on here that the 3000's aren't perma-hackable, but I can't find any info specifically about the 3001. It's the silver one...I've never actually seen it before, just ran across it at Goodwill. Am I out of luck?

no you can still hack it!!! you need 5.03 official firmware,however DO NOT
update your psp using network update you must download 5.03 update eboot with your computer,then manually install that eboot in the common folder of your psp then run it, once you have it to 5.03 then download chickHEN R2 then put that in your photo folder run that then download CFWEnabler 3.30 in your game folder run that and now your psp3000 is temporarily Hacked!!!
you can run emulators,apps,homebrew,umd back-ups and even PSX games.

That's what I was afraid of.

Not willing to go through the effort of temporarily hacking a PSP...I'll just stick with my Phat, until I manage to find a first-gen slim.
