So ive been away for quite long, but ive got a PS3 now, and im going on holiday. I just discovered remote play, and it works over private network on 4.01 M33.

However using the internet connection it says "A system software update for the PSP system is required"

So im wondering can i spoof the firmware version?
    Or
Do you guys know which CFW this is working on?

    Thanks

Don't think any of the cfws are compatible with Ps3. Pretty sure you have to go to 6.20 if you want connection.

just stream my music collection and BBC iPlayer when i go on holiday lol

I remember there was a way to run 2 firmwares, switching them with the MMS upon boot. Is that still possible, then i could run OFW and CFW?

you need to know how to load ofw?? what firmware you running now, 3.9m33?? just network update it...you can always go back down to cfw, but my method saves the nand from being flashed so many times like that...there's even a video that dankgame on here made using my method, in that guide.

yep watching it, i didnt know you have to be on OFW then CFW was emulated.
Been too long for me ahaha, from what i remembered OFW and CFW options were in Hellcats menu, so you flashed to the one you wanted. But im probably wrong.
Anyway thanks im going to do this, and re create the MMS, it only has 3.52M33-4 option on it anyways LOL

    lmao...wow you've been sleeping huh??

yes hellcats will do that, but it's flashing, not emulating ofw/cfw's...again, using the nand a lot and risking damage over time.

but you can see that my guide uses the Rains program, i love it! it's my choice programmer, very easy and does it all with literally 2 clicks of the mouse. any issues, hit me up.

Last q, in the video he doesnt show a menu, but in the guide you say, hold L and put MMS, and Pandora in, which should show a menu, then press Test M33.

Could you just clarify that for me.

    Thanks

Ok it didnt work, the program ran, it formatted, then it said not enough space for IPL, do you want to continue?
I pressed NO, and it went on....

Now black screen upon boot up, works ok with Power adaptor.

Ive just retired it, same error, and it continues though i pressed NO, please inform of bug.

thats because if your running it in vista its unable to properly do a step that prers a small section of the Memorystick for the IPLyou can use a Virtual PC (VMWare[gotta buy that]/VirtualPC 2007 SP1 [free if you pass Genuine] / or VirtualBox by SUN[freeware] unless you installed Vista and set up yourself as an admin Just run the MMS Maker app as Admin

if you are running windows 7.Only options are VirtualXP Mode VirtualBox or VMWare buddy. that or use an old XP PC but yea the no space for Pre-IPL is only a result when it cant perform teh step that prepares the Memstick for it.
