how do i totally upgrade from 5.00m33-6 to 5.50 gen d3??

FIRSTLY, LET ME APOLOGISE for asking this noob question. i knew someone must have asked this and there's a thread about this before.. but i'm kinda lazy to scroll and look thru all of them :x really sorry. but really thanks to those who bothered to click my thread to help me.

okay. as you all knew from the title, my current 'version' is 5.00m33-6.
i saw from quite a few threads, people say '5.50 gen d3' (or something like that, im not too sure) is the best cfw. if that is not the best cfw out there, can you enlighten me as to what the best cfw is out there?

1. how do i update my ofw from 5.00 to 5.50?
2. how do i change my cfw from m33 to 'gen d3'(or whatever it is called) without bricking my psp?

and i also saw from some threads that gen d3 have quite a few versions like d4 d5?
so which is the BEST out of it?

please please please, some kind soul dude please give me the step my step instructions as to how to successfully and completely upgrade my psp ofw and cfw. or you can give me links to website that show the instructions (must be clear-cut thou, i'm really a noob).

if you're indeed on 5.00ofw...click back on my link for my guide, at the very top part of my guide is a link for using chickhen, follow that for installing 5.00m33-6 again without using a pandora battery/mms...once you're on 5.00m33-6 again, you can just run the D3 installer that i have listed in Section III

the more advanced method though, it's up to you of course, is follow that link like i stated, get Hellcats installed onto it. now hellcats can fully install D3 just as easily as 5.00m33-6 in 1 shot. it's a bit more tricky though, but it much more easy and straight fwd to follow by installing 5.00m33-6. let me know if you have any issues at all.

i do have the steps for installing D3 with hellcats in Section II...so if you want, use that guide to get to chickhen and then follow mine for the hellcats steps...
