Corrupt saved games moving from Gen D3 5.50 Prometheus 3 to 4

Hey guys, I'm using a PSP 2000 Slim v2 board if i remember correctly, and I recently upgraded my firmware from Prome 3 to Prome 4...

Then I went back to my Disgaea saves, and they said they're corrupt now >< Is there any way to fix this? I was like... THIS close to finishing the game, and this is the 2nd time I've lost the saves coming this far, and the first was coz my cousin deleted them =_=

So sympathise with me, or give it to me straight :x is there anything I can do to recover my saved games?

where'd you get the prome-4 update?? may be a bad source...you can try a few things, try this it's for Gen D save corruptions:

edit...that link that has the d3 corruption fixer is broken and i can't find a working 1...so try this instead:

PSP Downloads | 5.50 GEN D2-D3 Switcher

install it to in your game folder...prior to running it, go to your recovery menu and disable all your plugins, exit, reboot the psp, run the switcher to D2 and then try your games again...to switch back, just disable the plugins prior to swichting from D2-D3 and D3-D2

after running it, you will most likely have to prome patch again to either 3 or 4...but see if that clears your errors 1st

Goku, you mean Luca's D3 save fix v3, right?

may I suggest PSPSlimHacks Link , Megauploads or Mediafire. Hopefully at least one of them is in tact (they successfully download, but i haven't tried them on my system)

I still haven't gotten arround to updating from Prom3 V4, so I can't confirm that it's the solution, but it seems the reasonable one to go to.

HMMMMM I WAS looking for Luca's fix, as the links all over the web was broken...

So I tried luca's fix first, and when i installed it and tried, it didn't work

SO, I uninstalled it and tried, then it worked? o_o I don't quite get it but... okay... Only problem now is that my Monster Hunter Portable 3rd isn't loading, but thats kinda still fine, I was going to finish Freedom Unite first anyway lol

Thanks a bunch guys :3 Saved me having to go back and start a damn new disgaea games. I would've ripped someones balls off ><

that's the one i had in my guide, the luca but it's busted everywhere lol...like i said, after you ran the fixer, you'll most likely need to reflash that prome-4 patch, i have seen others that needed to do it

Glad I could help. And yeah, just follow Goku's advice and you'll be set.

To be honest I'm kinda OCD (GAD with OCD tendencies, for psych students playing at home :P) So i have a tendency to horde files and useful bits of information, regardless of whether I actually need or use it. If there are any other modding files that have disappeared there is a good chance i have a copy or two I could upload to one of the various sites.
