Hey everyone. Ive been into the psp scene for quite some time now. I understand what pandoras battery/MMS is. I've had my psp for a very long time. I forgot what motherboard I have. i stopped playing about with my psp around about the time when 3.71 M33 was released. Heres the details:
I have 2 psps PHATS, one has CFW 5.50 GEN D3 installed, one is permanently bricked i believe.
I have a MMS which i created by using Rains Ultralite MMS
I have a Pandoras Battery which i soft modded using PSP Tool 1.0
I have OFW firmwares 5.50 and 5.00 downloaded on my computer, running on Windows 7.
I've tried the Pandora and MMS while holding down the L button on the bricked psp, but nothing happens apart from the green power light turning on. To test that the Pandoras battery and MMS is working, I tried it on my working psp and it works.
Does anyone know if there is a differant method i can use to unbrick the psp? im not sure if the psp is actually permanately or semi bricked, but nothing seems to happen with the Pandoras battery and MMS
Thanks for your help, and sorry if I have put this thread in the wrong section =x

It was mine to beging with. I bricked it and didnt get a chance to unbrick it till now, because i got another psp. I think i bricked it by changing a theme on the flash0 or doing something to the flash1..
There is such a thing as perma-brick, I have a couple of those. Your pandoras/MMS works on your other PSP?

Yeah it works perfectly fine.
Maybe the card reader in your bricked PSP cant read the MMS, even though this is a longshot. Did you format your Flash0 with Windows?

I cant remember.. I highly doubt that its not working.. Its been like 2 years since i bricked the psp
How long are you leaving the Pandora battery in the bricked system for? for some reason my fat takes forever to engage the MMS, the slim on the other hand is fairly instant.
Otherwise I'm not aware of any other way to engage a PSP without it first booting, otherwise I'm sure that would have lead to a whole different set of CFW.
For a while. I put it in the bricked psp and after 20 seconds or so the green power light just switches off..
Ive finally got it to work on my bricked psp, but when i click on flash install CFW 5.50 Gen D3, freeses at the point where it backs up the psn. Does anyone have any idea on how to get passed this?
if you click on Test m33, does it load up to the xmb screen?? try that when using the pandora/mms and let me know

ok...so it's flash related cause your system runs fine emulating cfw...you can try a few things:
install hellcats and flash it over...section II in my guide in my sig
install the D3 installer i have in my Gen section, III...
run them from the xmb while in Test m33 not through mms flash...let me know

Ive ran the test m33 function on pandoras menu.. through the emulated cfw, i put my psp into usb mode and placed the GEN D3 installer files onto my magic memory stick. ive tried running the installer but i get a error message of "the game cannot be started. the region code is not correct." the same thing happens when i try to install hellcats recovery flasher
