    I had this virus before and my anti-virus never picked it up either e621ca05.exe is a Trojan.Agent. Now what you can do is download a program called Malwarebytes and scan the drive which your psp is located in and it should pick it up. Or you can format the memory stick(CAUTION: THIS DELETES EVERYTHING ON THE MEMORY STICK). To do this go to my computer right click the drive which is your psp example G: and click format make sure it is set to fat32 and click format, remember though this solution deletes everything.

    i wouldn't trust anything with a generic name like Malwarebytes. theres alot of shit out there with simple names like that that actually do more harm then good.

    ^^lol I will not disagree with you on the generic name remark but Malwarebytes is a very trusted program been using it for years. But dont take my word for it look at reviews at CNET or tech spot both sites gave it close to a 5 star rating. And personally I have never seen this program rated lower then 4 stars anywhere.

    Malwarebytes is not a generic tool/utility, its a very trusted virus/malware removal app that is totally free

    reviews have gone to shit too. half the time they look like they're made by a bot, someone was paid to say it, or the poster/maker made other accounts to say that. seriously reviews these days sound like they were said in a TV ad. whatever happened to just saying "this shit works perfectly. get it."?

    dumbass above me, i said generic name. did you stop mid-post again? READ THE FUCKING POST RETARD.

    oh i dont think i made myself clear sorry, the folders are ASKING for that virus to open Oo it's in portuguese so i'll translate what it's saying in the error box "Windows did not locate Recycler\e621ca05.exe make sure u typed it right and try again" it's totally wierd o.o , i had format it already.... Also the psp folders are shorcuts... but i'm assuming that's normal... ermmmm right? (psp noob sorry >.>)

    No that is not normal beside underneath type it should say File Folder not shortcuts. It means that the virus changes the folders to shortcuts and then makes the shortcut leads to the virus. Find out were the shortcut is taking you. Right click one of the short cuts and hit find target. If it gives you an error when doing so, it most probably means this virus was from the past and your anti virus removed it. If this the case delete those shortcuts and manually make the folders ( in PSP partition right click > New > Folder) make sure to name them same as before though e.x. ISO,PSP,MUSIC. And just curious does this error only appear when using the psp partition, or does it happen when using your computer partition as well?

    Hello to all on the forum,
    would like to ask for your help with the same issue which I haven't been able to resolve by following above steps...
    All folders on my psp have been replaced by shortcuts and when i try to open them I get the error message:

    "Windows cannot find 'G\RECYCLER\e621ca05.exe

    There has been a previous threat on this suggesting to run Malware on that drive which I did. One virus was detected:

    Registry Data Items Infected: 1
    Registry Data Items Infected:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\System\NoDispScrSavPage (PUM.Hijack.DisplayProperties) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

    I restarted the computer and checked the drive. Still there are shortcuts. By right-clicking on the shortcuts I do not get the option to "find target". If I delete the shortcuts and manually make folders (in PSP partition) with the exact same names it tells me that such a folder already exists and if I wish to merge. If I click YES, then the shortcut remains and no new folder is being created. The error appears when using the psp partition and tour computer partition as well... I did not reformat the drive bc I need to recover those files...

    Where do I go from here?
    Thanks in advance for the assistance.

    I'd encourage you to read the rules for the forum. They're pretty straightforward and there aren't many of them. http://www.pspmod.com/forums/introdu...uncements.html
