Want CFW but unsure what to do.

Hi guys.

I've just bought a second hand white PSP which i believe is a slim one, and its currently on 4.05.
I'm extremely new to all this and i've been trying to watch loads of videos on youtube but i'm getting very confused.

Basically, i want to be able to play downloaded games on my psp and i believe to do this i need a pandora battery and a Magic Memory Card. I'm just confused about the software i need.

Could someone please explain what software i need to download, or better still, give me a step by step guide.

I apologise if i sound really stupid or if i have gone over stuff that has already been explained on here. Like i said, just a bit confused because of the software and whether i need to upgrade/downgrade.

Just want to double check that i need to download official firmware 6.60? not some custom one?

Official firmware, you can use the "System Update" on you PSP if you have a wireless network
