I got my psp 1000 a few years ago and my friend helped me mod my psp to 3.40 OE-A.

I then found it just now in my draw and went out to buy a tekken 6 platinum edition. It then says game could not be played dadadada.

So I went and formated the memory stick and then tried to update the psp via network settings and it still has the dadadada problem.

I have almost no experience with modding my psp although I know a lot about ds firmwares and jailbraking idevices, etc.

What should I do to counter this problem and get my game to work, my friend is overseas and I have no contact with him whatsoever. I am using a mac, for extra info.

you need hellcats. get up to 3.71 first then (i think) you can direct update to latest from there. if not. get up to 5.00 then latest.

Can you please give me step by step instructions? It would be a great help to me.
I have almost no knowledge of psp modding and I am scared that if I do something wrong, it would brick my psp.

    >>UPDATE<<

I downloaded the 3.71 update for my psp and then put the eboot file onto PSP-GAME then made an UPDATE folder.

I then go to my memory stick folder and pressed the update 3.71 thingy and the same thing happened. "The game could not be started.(DADADADA)"

yeah, because you need hellcat's to do so. OE-A (in my knowledge) is also a cfw and you're locked in it.
