HELP!!!! CFW to OFW

Hi

I am new to all of this. I received my PSP from a friend. And they have CFW installed and I woud like to get rid of it. The reason why is because I can't do anything. I cant update my system. and I cant connect to my wi-fi.I tried updated via usb and received the dadadadada error message. What can I do to fix this?

Like I stated earlier, I am new to all of this, so please be easy on all the abbreviations because I have no clue what they mean and you may need to provided directions for me. I appreciate all the help in advance.

ahhh that's becuase you're in a lower version of firmware. go here faustnero.blogspot.ca and grab hellcats and put into your psp (ms0:/PSP/GAME) and run it on your psp, select target firmware 5.00. run. after the update, then you'll be able to update to latest.
