PSP Noob needs answers

Hi all,

Noob here, just bought my son a PSP1003 off the bay and would like to install CFW,

The PSP (white) has the following spec

Motherboard ic1003
Date Code 6c
FW 6.60

is it possible to install custom fw without the PB? does it need to be downgraded to 5.03? also whats the best CFW to install as this is just for my
8 yr old son mostly so no need for complicated menu's or abilities,

A white 1000??, thats a new one on me. Is it an original 1000 with a white faceplate/case mod?

EDIT: Use this:http://www.pspmod.com/forums/downloa...do=file&id=271, there are instruction in the download page. Once your done with that, use this:http://www.pspmod.com/forums/downloa...do=file&id=151, this will tell you what mobo you have.

I only ask because I want to be sure that I dont link you to the wrong application

Once your done with that, use this:PSP module checker v3.0 - Downloads - PSPMOD.com - PSP Forum, Hack PSP, PSV Hacks, PS Vita Hack, PSVita, this will tell you what mobo you have.

love the ease of the 6.60lme 1.8 and works well but what would you recommend for a perminant cfw for my psp?
