need some guidance (psp 1000)

got experience with flshing ROMs on andorid - so now want to give my old psp a try

Basically my goal is to be able to have a snes emulator and play a game ( i got one on my androdi)

and download final fantasy 8 andn play it on my psp

so first thing im gonna do is update to latest official firmware...

but then i am completely lost.

i been googling how to install CFW, but seeing all kindsa methods including opening my psp and soldering pieces together O_O ??

what should i do next? looking for the simplest method - as due to extreanous circumstanes, my resources are SEVERELY limited.

edit - did some searching, do i have this right?

update to 6.6 through psp official

then install 6.6 LME downlaoded here http://www.pspmod.com/forums/downloa...do=file&id=271

put launcher and installer in game folder, run launcher, adn it will give me CFW?

and then i can put my snes emulator on the memory card, and the rom, and i can play like a boss?

also with custom firmware will i be able to take .avi files and watch them on psp?

yu have the LME part down.
yu need a homebrew to play .avi's.
i haven't seen one but im sure there are some somewhere

you can download a snes emulator easily
you can also put cfw on your psp easily

not much of a difference between adding a gba emulator and an snes emulator... lol
