Please Help!! First psp 1001 mod

I bought a psp 1001 and its running version 5.50 OFW. The umd player is broken so i got it for really cheap, i bought a Pandora Battery and made a mms to hack it and everything was going well until it was time to boot the CFW i put the Pandora battery in while the mms is inside too, the green light turns on but nothing else happens the screen stays black ive goggled why this happens but i find more questions then answers can somebody please help i would really appreciate it thank you.

try this put in the mms then hold the L trigger and put in the pandora battery you should now get the cfw menu

I have tried that but still nothing..i have also tried holding "up" and R trigger but still just a black screen

Format the memory card, and create a new mms using rains mms maker. The steps are there in section 2 of my guide.

then insert mms, hold the L trigger and then insert the pandora battery.

You mention you are on 5.50 ofw. Can you boot into the XMB? if so there is no need of pandora battery and mms.You can install cfw without that also.

you can either buy a pandoras battery and magic memory stick (i included a link where i brought mine from)
or you can make one i dont no how so dont ask me.
