PSP E1003 Noob question

Hi all at PSP Mod,

First off I'd just like to say when it comes to PSP's i'm a complete noob and wouldn't know the first thing about modding one or applying Custom Firmware to allow you to play backed up games from the memory stick.

I got my son a PSP E1003 for Christmas and like most kids they aint too careful with the UMD's so I thought I would go down the running backup games from the memory stick instead.

A friend of mine said it was pretty straight forward to do so and I would just need to mod the PSP with firmware to allow the backups to run no problem.

I tried the 6.60 ME-1.6 (OFW Version) which I had seen suggested to use on another post on this forum but when running it said it was not suitable for the model I was using.

I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can offer me to point me in the right direction to get this working.

I managed to get the PSP Custom firmware installed i found in another post (http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-sof...-e1003-cb.html (HELP PSP STREET e1003 CB)).

I have also created an ISO folder in the root of my memory stick but still no luck in getting any further forward

you're right El, it's the "somehow new model" of PSP,. it's quite the same as the PSP 1k to 3ks..

yaaa they class it as the "BUDGET" model as you cant do the multi player with it.
