this happened to me with the same cfw/ofw and i didn't know why.
so, i experimented with different cfws/ofws and i ended up with 6.35 pro b9 and it worked excellently![]()

I have a fat PSP (first release). The firmware is 6.60 OFW. When i run the app for the 6.60 Pro B10 Updater it shows up, i press X to install it, the install is completed with no problems and then it asks to press X to boot up with Pro B10 and it simply stays black when i press X. after about 15 seconds the PSP turns itself off. When i reboot it's still on 6.60 OFW.
i've tried this many times. i uninstall it and reinstall it and still get the same result. i don't get it... i have a Pandora Battery and MMS.
I have also tried ME and got the same results as well. only with ME it completely bricks the PSP when i reboot and i have to start all over from 5.50.
any ideas as to why i can't get Pro B10 on my PSP?

really? that's strange.. but i'll try that. i didn't think about using different versions. thanks for the suggestion ^^
Do you have any plugins enabled

try removing the memory card and boot up the psp after installing the cfw.
Maybe its some incompatible plugin thats causing all this trouble
