OK so i bought this psp1000 on eBay like 4 years ago and i played it off and on with umds and i wanted
to try this new monster hunter game and i get this message the game could not be started (dadadada)
and i also get the same message when i try to use a downloaded update i apparently i have a modded
system 3.40 OE-A GameStop wont help me and i cant return it obviously after all this time i read i should
be able to recover it with the recover menu but when i click on /psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp the
screen just goes black the off after 1 min and yes it was in the game folder not game150 or game340
and i renamed the EBOOT.PBP(1.50) UPDATE.PBP and tried it as EBOOT.PBP please help me out all other

first install hellcats and update to 5.00 m33

Files Required for Hellcat Recovery Flasher

    Hellcats 1.65
Recovery Flasher v1.65, PSP Hacks - PSP Slim Hacks
    5.00 pbp http://uploading.com/files/6X0E1YMQ/

    2. For systems with 1.5 ofw

    1.extract the Hellcats archive
2.For 1.5 ofw systems, open the 1.5 firmware folder
copy the 2 sub-folders "%__SCE__rflash" and" __SCE__rflash" to your GAME folder
copy and paste the 500.pbp file into the root of your memory stick

For any of the SE/OE systems and 3.51 m33

copy the same 2 folders mentioned above and copy them into your GAME150 folder not GAME folder
copy and paste the 500.pbp file into the root of your memory stick

3.now run hellcats from XMB and select the option "To install cfw of above selected" which should be 5.00 m33-6
4.finally select "reset all defaults" and then it will flash your psp.

    then update to 6.60 me

    1. For those with old DA firmware (SE/OE systems)

    1. using Hellcats Recovery Flasher update to 5.00 m33(steps mentioned in section 5)
    2. download the 6.60 ME v1 bundle from here
    http://www.pspmod.com/forums/downloa...do=file&id=208
extract the contents and copy the UPDATE folder from the archive to the GAME folder on your memory card.
Then goto XMB and run the update.
After that network update to the latest version of ME cfw.

ok i did everthing you said and i got this message
    WP_000004.jpg
i Think i got this because i might have put the 5.00EBOOT.PBP in the wrong folder
what did it mean by root folder of memery stick i assumed it ment the psp/game/recover/eboot.pbp
i hope you see this soon i feel close to saving my psp and thanks for the quick responce

EDIT: i renamed the eboot.pbp 500.pbp and put it in the base file and i think it works
now no errors when i run the umd's does this mean im not modded anymore
cause if i am i dont rly mind but when i tried an iso my friend gave me but i got an error
the game could not be started. (80020148)
if you dont know thats cool thanks for helping me getting my umd working again

the 5.00 pbp file must be copied at the root of the memory stick (ie. along with the iso/psp folder at the base location). it should not be in any folder.

goto settings-system information and let me know your firmware. Did you complete flashing 5.00 m33 and then run the 6.60 ME updater?
