Okay, so i got a PSP from a friend to have some fun with it and i'm wondering, it's a PSP3000 i think and as much as i know it has 5.50 GEN-D3 software or whatever

My question is: Can and should i do an upgrade of the software and how to do it ?

Don't laugh as soon as you read this, this is my first contact with a PSP and i really don't want to mess things up
