Hi, this is my first post.

Anyway, I decided to register because of what happened to my brand new PSP 3006, which my 4-year old niece got her hands on. I don't know what happened (I barely know hacking), but now I can't play ISO and CSO games anymore, just UMDs. As far as I know the firmware is 6.60 Pro B-9.

Would you guys know what could have happened? Can I still restore it back to what it was, like have the firmware uninstalled then reinstalled? Is it...bricked?

Additionally, is there any way to play PS1 games on my PSP once it's fixed?

Thanks, and hoping you guys can help this clueless newbie out.

check the firmware version if it's still pro-b9. if not, she must've restarted the device and booted to the ofw. can you still see the iso and cso on the game menu?

Nope, when I go to the Game menu it says "There are no games. Content can be downloaded or purchased from the PlayStation Store."

Is there a "fast recovery" app under your "GAME" icon?

yep, it has been rebooted. do what this guy told you above me. the cfw installer came with the file "fast recovery". since cfw is already installed, run that file and you're good to go. it's a good thing to keep that file in your psp, it doesn't consume alot of space so it's ok, in case this situation happens again.

Unfortunately, under the Game menu it's only got Game Sharing, Saved Data Utility, and Memory Stick (which, if I access, shows the message "There are no games..."). When I check the System Information, it says:

    System Software: Version 6.60
    Nickname: toasty
    MAC Address: 90:34:FC:A2:F1:2A

    Gaah. What does that mean?

But I appreciate your replies. At least I'm learning something.

I think that your niece probably by accident, formatted the memory stick. Try re-installing PRO or use what I use on my 3000:6.60LME-1.8 - Downloads - PSPMOD.com - PSP Forum, Hack PSP, PSV Hacks, PS Vita Hack, PSVita

I don't think the memory stick's been reformatted, because when I turn on my PSP the free space is just 1,500 mb. One more concern--if I reinstall PRO, will there be a chance it'll get bricked? If it does, is there a chance it can be unbricked?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the help, guys. I really appreciate it, even though I was too chicken to mess around with it--I ended up paying someone else to do it for me. On to my next question--how can I play PS1 games on my PSP? Since it's been restored, the system software is now 6.60 PRO-B10. I dug around a bit, and there's this plugin called Popsloader that I need to install so I can play PS1 games (I wanna play Vagrant Story and FFVIII). I've gained a little courage to poke around on my PSP after watching the guy I paid, but before I do that, mind if I ask the following:

    1) Is there a particular Popsloader version I should use? What is it?
    2) How do I install it?
    3) Do I risk bricking my PSP if I install it?
    4) If my PSP does end up getting bricked, is there a chance to unbrick it?

Thanks again. I'm no techie, hence the questions.
