Newb needs help to get psp 2001 modded

Hey guys. Just found my old psp in my closet and thought I would mod it to play some emulators and what not. Now im not asking about emulations and where to get roms as I know that stuff. The thing I need to know is how to mod the firmware to a customized version. The psp is a silver 2001 slim model. THe current firmware is 5.55 (official sony) and the serial is HU4367540. Update the system to 6.60 OFW and then download this 6.60ME-1.8 (OFW Version) - Downloads - PSPMOD.com - PSP / PS Vita Forums

Instructions are included in a text file, I believe.

Edit* I think some slims aren't fully hackable. Is your psp from a special limited edition pack?? If so, please state it so that someone with more experience can say if you can use a permanent hack or if you need a Lite CFW.

To my best knowledge, all silver slims are "Fully" hackable. Do as instructed above and you should be OK

I have the exact psp slim as you it should work! Mine came with the daxter bundle and its a silver psp slim 2001!
Mine is the latest version cfw its the 6.60 me 1.8v and it works great just update your psp and do what the guy above said!
