Followed all instructions i found on internet... installed 6.20 update. after updating i put the B8pro patch on my psp and now it says something about sorry. this program doesn't support your FW (0x06060010) when i try to install the PROb8 update..... what are my options? it seems to be a normal psp now and i have no games to play........ do i need to get a pandora battery to fix this or what? its a psp 2001 and i was running 5.50 Gen before i updated to 6.20
i guess i have no idea what happened. im apparently at 6.60 for my system software

I was somehow at 6.60. figured out how to downgrade it to 6.20 and then
yes i was trying to do the 6.20 PROb8 then the patch but after installing the files on the pro b8 update the screen goes black and eventually i hear a pop from speakers and the psp shuts off. running the recover makes it do the same thing. now i just tried to do the 6.39 patch after updating to 6.39 official firmware and its the same result. psp crashes and im still stuck with OFW
just finished trying from 6.60 to 6.60 Pro B9 and also tried 6.60 LME 1.6 same results from each hack. when it actually tries to load the CFW my system shuts off

Back up anything important on your memory stick (games, music, video etc.) and format it using your PSP. Now update to 6.60 and then use this:6.60ME-1.8 (OFW Version) - Downloads - PSPMOD.com - PSP / PS Vita Forums

so you think it has something to do with memory card. ill try it when i get home. never formatted before using it for updates. i was wondering if the 5.50 gen whateveritwas patch had something to do with it. all i know is it shuts off everytime i try loading the CFW. i would even consider downgrading back to 5.50 and making a magic memory and pandora battery just to get my games working again if someone can find any links or FAQs
OMG OMG. YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!! can i send u $5 via paypal or something.... im sooo happy that worked\
Just one question. is it a perma patch or do i need to do it over if it locks up
If you used the 6.60ME-1.8, then there is no need to run perm patch and also, no need to send me anything.
You did update to 6.60ME-1.8, correct?

yeah the one u sent me. not sure if it was from using a different file or from formatting the memory card but it worked.
