I'm not 100% sure but when I read through the entire post it seemed like there were a couple of people who didn't have the best of luck. Surely you can find a computer running XP, I'd just borrow it for an hour and use the XP comp for the install. |

Worked great for me too. I made a Pandora out of my Phat's battery. I bought a higher capacity battery to use in the Slim now and moved the Slim's battery to the Phat. Nice to finally hve CFW in my Slim. Now I can sell the Phat.
My question is: Can I update this Slim to 3.90 m33 via the network update like I could on my phat?
thanks

* I used the LITE 2.0 version for the memory stick. Also, my stick is a Sandisk pro duo 2gb... would it not work because it is too big?
Edit: I tried re-making the stick and I get an error message saying: 'mspformat' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file... then it says file not found - MS_ROOT... then on Installing IPL to drive J: i get the same error message as above only replaced with 'msinst'... Any help? | so your command prompt is screwed up 2? Send one little email to them telling them how much vista sucks and they go and screw up your computer. |

I cant thank you enough, nor can my kids if I ever let them get there hands on it. After all the confusing stuff online about what to do it was a breath of fresh air finding this fantastic software you created. If I ever had any doubts the you tube walkthrough by vampyre put them to rest. We did it together so to speak. Wonderfull, easy, fantastic. What more can I say. |

I've downloaded Catb50 full. When I click BEGIN it prompts me to type in the drive letter that my MS is in, I type in "I" without quotation marks, but it keeps telling me that it's an invalid drive.
Note: I'm not connecting my MS to my computer via PSP USB, my CPU tower has a slot where MS can be inserted. Could that have an issue? I don't have a USB cable so I hope not.

Shipping is around $7 not sure on max count-I order up to 3 at a time....same shipping cost. Edit: Disregard this post, I got it to work lol. ('-')/
Hey guys, for some reason I can't get pandora's battery to work, here are the things I have:
Slim PSP
Legit Lexar 4 gig PRO DUO
Spare Sony Battery Pack (3.6v, 2200mAh)
Running Win XP
What I did:
I removed the 5th leg of the chip IC04, but when I put it in no lights come on. If I plug the ac adapter, the battery starts to charge (yellow light), then I remove AC and turn it on and the power light turns green only and a black screen. Is that a sign that I messed up the battery? Which is weird because I used the equipment from university's engineering lab to remove it, so I know I didn't mess up anything else ;( Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I can verify this works on slim 3.80 OFW.
1. Used catb50 magic stick creator 2.0 full to create magic memory stick. Used WinXP because it was not working correctly on Vista.
2. I made the p. battery with my original slim battery, using the "Easy-to-Use Pandora's Battery Guide" by Hercules here on pspmod.com
NOTE: I did NOT lift any pins, I scratched the copper to the left of the 19 with a circle around it, worked fine for me. However, they say to un-pandora your battery you can trace back over the copper line with a no. 2 pencil, this DID NOT work for me, so to use my battery I have to plug in my psp to AC adapter, then put battery in, then it works fine.
3. Put your magic memory stick in, hold down the L button, put in the pandora battery, pressed X to begin installing, voila... |

does anyone know what it means when the mspformat and msinst is not recognized when running the begin menu? also the ms_root file not found. When I go to my psp on my cpu there are also no files there either? Any info would be great. |
