Default Step By Step Popsloader Installation Guide

Nice guide cheema201, now I have a question.

I am using 5.00 M33-3 and when I try to dump the 3.80,3.90,4.01 EBOOTS to get the 4 files I am not able to. "Unable to decrypt common table" Anyone know why?

I am using the POPS for 5.00.

EDIT: Okay I solved my own problem, seems if you want to get the dump prx files for 3.80-3.90-4.01 you need to use the PSARDUMPER with 3000 modules decryption.

Using the PSARDUMPER with 3000 modules decryption I was able to get the dumps for 3.80-4.01. : )

Exclamation Step By Step Popsloader Installation Guide

I as of today I have been looking for a PSX emulator for my PSP. And this one seems fairly easy, unfortunately the psardumper file that I downloaded thru this forum did not give me the same sized files shown in your example. Where as your EBOOT.PBP is shown having 56KB mine has 95KB, and the other two having 4 and 14 I have 5 and 17. Not sure if the sizes matter but as I dropped the first firmware into the root of my PSP, and went to my Game menu and launch PSARDumper, it told me "This game cannot be started. The data is corrupted"...basically I need your help. Please and Thank You.

pink:just download and read my instructions on my thread(3rd link in my signature).my poploaders actually configured for 3.00 - 5.00 m33-3 pops.cheema hasnt been around for awhile.

p.s. youve always had psx emulation.just not the right popsloader for it.sony made the pops.the popsloader was made to be able to flash the right pops that sony had working for a certain game at the time,so that the games that worked before can work again in a newer firmware.
just to clarify

Cheema I have a very very important question. So after I dump my first one and then pull the needed files to my pc, next to do is delete the old EBOOT and move onto the next one.

My question is, do I leave the FO folder there and continue? I tried once leaving and did not see any new folders after so I am thinking it overwrites. But I dont really know what I am doing so I went through and did the whole process each time deleting the FO folder before moving on.

Before I move any further I must know if what I did was ok, I am not sure. I pretty much stopped after pulling 3.9 so yet to do 4.01. I need the green light before I go any further. Thanks.

Delete it before dumping a new firmware. So basically:
- Add the specific EBOOT version to root
- dump the firmware
- collect the files needed
- delete the F0 folder
- delete old EBOOT file
REPEAT for a different firmware version.

What 5.00 POPS means that it's able to load any pops version from 3.00-4.01 including 5.00. The process is still the same holding R while the game loads up. but it gives u the option to select 3.80-4.01 as well now not just 3.0-3.72. Now if you just play it without selecting a pops then you are on 5.00 pops on default since your firmware is 5.00-m33. Hope that cleared up somethings.

Thanx for answering some questions frost and xtnod... I have not been around as i have been busy with other things. I'll try and be around a bit more from now on.. But all the questions seem to be answered for now..

as for daltex and the error msg u may just need to configure some of ur settings in recovery mode.. so turn off ur psp (by holding it towards off for around 5 seconds so u dont just put ur psp to sleep) then turn it bak on holding R. Once in recovery check all of the options there against the options that should be selected. You can find the default options in another guide on this site.. Also make sure in recovery mode that u activate ur popsloader.

As Cheema said it himself you have to set somethings in the options.

That error code is because you have the UMD requirement set to normal. If you don't have a UMD in the drive it won't load, to fix that simple go into the setup when you boot your PSP and select either the M33 dirver or the Sony driver.

Well this is actually a thread about popsloader in particular and not modding your PSP.. However that being said it sounds to me like ur pandora may be working properly but ur MMS isn't.. Why dont you read a guide specifically for modding your PSP and then come back if you wish to know anything about playstation emulation.
