its a "tool" pandora battery | on your psp go to where it says memory stick, press triangle and then select information.if it doesnt say magicgate supported then you may have a fake stick.
in retrospect, please rewatch my video and/or reread the full guide.i assumed by making a short basic video you guys would understand, but seems some of you people are still having issues.not sure why except for a possible misreading. |

Hey, I got my battery pandora'd today, and I've got everything done and it's all epic and dandy. I thank you so much for this guide.
The only question i have, is that I don't have recovery thing. I hold R and nothing happens. (Yes, i have fully turned it off etc, it works with L to install the other stuff, but with R, nothing happens.)
Sorry, never mind, i was playing around and found out what was wrong. I just had to install M33, 'coz i installed OFW afterwards, which i shouldn't have. So anyone else with the same problem, just reinstall the M33.

Been doing a lot of lurking. Received my Daxter 2001 PSP today. Made the Pandora in about 5 minutes with a guitar pick and an Exacto knife.
While these instructions aren't particularly well-written they were good enough. The program is also pretty straightforward.
It took 3 tries to boot from the MMS. Just got the green light. Not sure why. Might have not been running as Administrator but it did finally work.
So a big "THANK YOU" to the OP!
BTW, I installed on my MacPro via a virtualized Windows 7 x64 install.
Random question: Is TM responsible for allowing my Pandora battery to work as a normal battery? How can I copy that functionality over to all of my 8GB memory sticks? That'd be nice to essentially have two batteries while on a trip! |

First off this guide was a great help. I hard modded my battery and seems to work fine. The problem i have is with Rain's. I downloaded the file for the 4.01 OFW/M33-2 (DCv7) from the link you posted in the guide. As well as the 1.50 from your link. The 1.50 EBOOT loads up just fine but the 4.01 will not. IT say something like
"Incorrect or Corrupt EbOOT Selected
Check Selected Firmwere/installer or re-download EBOOT"
I have re-downloaded the EBOOT 3 times now, and im not quit sure what do. I have also tried to find differant DL sources but cant seem to find one. Any help that can be given would be aowsome.
Edit:I also tried Pandora's deluxe and it said about the samething

i used this and it worked. the only problem is when i tried using it for the 5.00 it didn't work, but i'm bright enough to know where to replace the files for the 5.00 m33 then get the update for -6 and to figure out the kernal for it which took a bit and had to use the 1.50 that came with the rain.
all in all thanks a lot. |

250 - Ultimate MMS Maker Guide For Xp/Vista
So I came across the guide looking for a way to unbrick my PSP. When I click on the first link to download "Rains simple MMS maker V1.0" It says the file isn't there because it doesn't agree with the terms of use of the site...
I need that file in order to do everything else don't I?
Any help?
Thanks |

thanks for the guide..... not knowing anything about firmware,I actually did it and it worked.
I have the psp 1001 oem 5.50.....first i took the battery apart and cut the correct tab
my circuit board is on top really small..had a little smoke but it still works
when i put the battery in,and pressed the left upper button i didn't get anything......so i redid it using the corded adapter and battery ....and it worked....my PSP also runs with just the battery now just needs charging
the rains mms maker is very easy to use...but when it was installing files it froze halfway threw...even my task manager was saying program not responding.but just let it sit there it will finish..im using windows vista
also after i installed4.01 OFW/M33-2 (DCv7)...i had to go to my memory stick and i found the folder for 1.50 which i installed after |

i do have a question......now that i have the firmware 4.01 m33-2 installed
is there a reason i should upgrade to the 5.00 m33-6
I mean it sounds logical to keep upgrading to the latest firmware. Is there any downfalls to doing this? |

id upgrade but it con make modding the xmb(custom coldboot, gameboot ect.)harder but not really all you have to do is use the classic theme befor editing and never change to official theme.
