HELP
No you have to get a pandora battery go to the sites I told you to go to and get it. The follow the guides for the install. I have told you this before I have modded mine to 5.0mm-4 with no problems I was able to softmod my battery because it was the old 1800mHa battery and I had already had a old cfw installed on my psp. If you have ofw then this is the only way to do it that I know of.

PS sorry I tried to do both replies in one post but I must have not done it right.

Default How To Install PSP Custom Firmware

The ONLY way to modify the Slim 2000 with OFW (like yours) without "Hardmodding" your battery is to "Softmod" your battery. To do this, you will need a second modded PSP. Here's why:
To make a Softmodded Pandora's battery, you need to run a program on the PSP called "Pandoras Battery Creator." It does as it says. . It will mod the battery in the PSP. When you are finished with the battery, you can use the same program to de-modify it, or as you call it-un-Pandorizing. However, since a psp with OFW 1.51 and up is not homebrew enabled, you can only run the program on a modded PSP. If you know someone with a homebrew enabled PSP, you should beg them to make you a softmodded PSP. If you don't, you can make a hardmodded battery. (It's not that hard) It will sort of destroy it. It changes the way it starts. You can still use it (if you don't have a magic Memorystick in it). You can plug you PSP in, put the battery in, and unplug it. (to turn it on you will need to plug it in). It can be used until the battery runs out. It cannot be turned off becasue It cannot turn on with the Pandora battery. So you will defiantly need a new battery, but the Pandora's battery can sort of be used as a battery. If you don't feel confident making your own by hardmodding, you can by a pre-made Pandoras battery for 14-30 dollars. They are manufactured as a Pandora's battety. You can get them for amazon.com. There are some sites I've herd of with good deals, such as pandorasales.com, but I don't know if they are legit. That is up to you to find out, I've never tried it.

It sounds like the Magic Memorystick is not properly made. Also, I hear the Sandisk ones work, but have never tried that brand myself, although I have confindence in that brand. The stick Must be between 128mb and 4G. No bigger than 4G. I would suggest wiping the Memorystick and following my guide, which I have the files to make a version 3.71 m33-2 Memorystick. The Pandora's battery sounds like it works, seen that It worked for someone else, and you get a blank screen.

for the guide go to syntaxmod.tk

So you cant install cfw on a psp 3000 yet and you cant do it on a psp2000 that can with 4.01 ofw or higher right? But you can install it on any other psp any other ofw or cfw without downgrading as long as you use the pandora battery and mms with some kind of m33 cfw right or am I missing something. I know that if you set up your psp to use m33 nestwork updates it is just as easy as updating the ofw. If you are missing something with the m33 update the psp will download and install everything for you.

When it comes to the 1000 and 2000 PSP and Pandora, firmware version is not an issue....it works on any. It just doesn't work on the PSP 3000.

Thumbs up How To Install PSP Custom Firmware

Hey!

I have my Pandora Battery tool exactlly the same one as in the cfw install video, i made my magic memory stick....problem i am running into is this: the battery is in the psp, the green light is on with no visuals, i put in my MMS and um nothing! nothing happens...it is a psp-1001 with OFW 5.02.

I am able to jump start with my ac adapter, i take out the battery, plug in the ac start it and within that second of it being on i cram the battery in and it starts up 98% of the time, BUT i'd like to just have it kick on itself, with that said the AC alone does nothing aswell as the battery.

The biggest problem i am running into is the fact that i get conflicting information, different ways of doing things and i've tried everything and nothing works, so possibly there is someone out there who can shed some light on my problem, i am not stupid i know my electronics but this is new so be gentle with it.

Thanks.

Use my guide....I wrote it As simple as possible.
It sounds like your Magic Memorystick is made incorrectly.

If you are running Vista, you cannot make a magic memory stick and will get that message. I tried it on Vista and the same think happened to me. because your second problem sounds like the Vista one. XP only. If you have XP, try downloading the files from somewhere else. Also make sure you typed the drive letter right.
