KmR, I have always respected you in your posts, and you are a intelligent person... So don't take what I say in the next few lines personally:

You talk about how if you have no friends, and have to turn to the internet for guidance and advice, that you should get off your computer and get friends. There may not always be the chance to get a friend, or even someone to talk to. A lot of the kids today have troubled relationships with their parents, have no parents, or can't find the time to talk to them. So, in this case, I'd assume you'd say "Talk to a friend". This is true, you could do that, but what if you could not get these friends. Suppose you had siblings who had a 'history' in the town/city you live in, that could cause someone to judge you before they even know you. What if your parents say how bad you are to other parents, or if parents tell their children that you are a bad person.

Those are things you cannot avoid, of course you can try and make it clear to these children that you are not what your (siblings/parents) make you out to be, or that you are completely different. However, if they refuse to even speak to you because of what they hear, it makes it impossible for a kid to even make the connection with others.

I know how it feels, probably a lot less then a lot of the other kids in the world, but I have a general idea. My siblings were always getting in trouble, and were always fighting with people and making things worse when they were my age. Now those same people they fought with are older, and have a bad look on me until I talk to them. Thankfully, it's not how I described above how people won't even talk to you, I've had a few good people set a lot of things straight for me.

But on to parents. My dad was an alcoholic, an abuser, and a crack-head at one point in time. He was always cheating on my mother with my friend's mother's, always getting into fights with people I know, and causing hell for everyone. I lost my best friend that way, his mom assumed that I had started using drugs because she heard a rumor, and said it was right because she knew my dad. About 2 weeks ago I talked to her after 3 years of not talking to my former friend, and his mother. I finally set things straight, but if she wouldn't have approached me, it would have continued for the rest of my life.

That's just one instance for my dad(out of many), and there are many more from both my siblings, and both of my parents. I had a hard time getting friends in school, I had a hard time walking around my town without worrying about who says what about me because of what my family has caused, or what has been said.

Then you have the problem where you cannot talk to friends or your parents. The few friends I have now are in a different mindset, and I usually find comfort in talking to adults and/or their parents. That can be one way of getting things out, but you can't rely on everyone else to do the job of what your parents/friends are supposed to. When I talked to my dad before we had our falling out, he brought his religion into it and it made me not want to hear it. When I talk to my mom now, it's always "I'm busy." or "I really don't care", or the most common, "Shut up and leave me alone." That really sucks considering it's your mother and father, the people who raised you and they are your blood.

KmR, there are a lot of things that can deny you the opportunity to talk to friends, or even have friends. The same goes for talking to parents.

I just really felt that you were being ignorant towards those, and if you weren't and were just saying it to say it here because you can, I'm sorry.

i dont mean to start any feuds with you KmR, but yea i have had a few chicks but i just eventually stopped really caring, i had one big relationship that ruined me after it ended and i from then on stopped caring, thats justmy point of view

Well my point was, some people find it better to talk online, that way you get an unbiased opinion, most of the time you ask for advice, your friends tell you what you WANT to hear, not what you should hear. If you're in love with a girl that treats you like shit, and you don't know what to do, most of the time your friends will tell you to stay with her, people online don't know you, and so they have no reason to lie to you. Hence, unbiased opinion. I understand what you are saying, but as Bewood said, you can't always just get friends. My friend from school, no one liked him because of some stupid rumors spread around and he literally had NO FRIENDS, period, until Senior year, I didn't know him very well before, and I honestly didn't believe the completely impossible rumors, but I started talking to him in AP English, and he's pretty damn cool, and I helped to break those rumors and he has quite a few friends now.

And if the post is "TL;DR", why comment on it? If you don't bother to know both sides of the argument, you're an idiot for taking a side.

Nice. Same with me. It sucked for a while until you just get over it. Then you can either really want to experience what you had again or just don't care at all. Call it heartless or whatever, but eh.

Uhhh... WOW. I did not make expect that.

I would have expected some sort of argument, a generalization of PSPMod members I assume.

It's okay though, I just was unsure if you were doing it to be an ass, or to be better, or something else. If I came across as if I was trying to be rude to you, or anything like that, my bad.

ANYWAY, this thread was by PvP and his life drama(?) that he wanted advice for, not a big discussion on anything(like cum in her hair, stfu gunslinger).
