Adhd

Today I got diagnosed with ADHD. I have to take 20mg of Add. I am kind of iffy about taking pills but if it helps me then more power to it. I know there are a lot of people here on this forum with un/diagnosed ADHD or ADD. It's nothing to be ashamed of. More power to you!

you had better make sure of what your taking, i had to take some meds, it was not pretty at all.

You have ADHD? I think thats bullshit, maybe you should see a canadian doctor instead. I can believe this newer generation of kids/12 year olds have ADHD.

get some more opinions (from other doctors) dont take pills until you are deffo sure you need to

ADHD is bullcrap and so are the pills. The pills will fuck you up more.

I really hate to be so blunt but I was diagnosed ADHD about 10 years ago. I became reliant on their pills (first Ritalin then Adderol, however the hell you spell it) and forgot how to pay attention and think for myself.

The pills will stunt your growth and they'll just do everything for you. You'll feel like a mindless zombie inhabiting a body that is controlled by someone else. FUCK that. You're capable of handling yourself and it's something that everyone needs to learn on their own. Just because some people do it at a faster rate than others doesn't mean that something is *wrong* with that person. It's just means we're all different. You and I are *too* different from what is considered normal, which is why we were both diagnosed.

Screw those people and their stupid pills.

funny, all of them was the same with me exsept the zombie part, the only time i got any where close to zombie was when i OD on it, so ive heard, i have no memoery of that week at all

My friend was diagnosed with ADHD because he was all over the place, literally. He took meds and turned math into an obsession. Turns out he didn't have ADHD, he was bipolar.

I have a severe case of Bipolar type II disorder/Borderline Personality Disorder and I am dependent on medications. Every case is different, and that's a fact. Just because someone had a bad reaction to medications doesn't mean you will. Vice versa too, you may have a reaction to a medication that isn't common. I just want to say that regardless of what the majority of this forum is saying, there's nothing wrong with being on medications.

I took myself off my meds when I was feeling well. (I didn't think out the fact that I felt well because I was on meds.) About a week and a half later I tried to kill myself, so I went back on my medications. Does it mean that I'm a weak person, just because I have a disorder that requires medications? No...not at all. I'm just sick that's all.

That's my rant
