    Hi Guys

I have created this thread so we can discuss what improvements we can make to this site. Please read the following and post any feedback you might have.

-A chatroom was installed a few weeks back. I believe this has been a great addition to the site, I can see it is in use almost all the time, And there has been very little / no spam and off topic conversations

-I am thinking of adding a downloads section, This section will include firmwares / modding apps / and possibly homebrew applications. Good idea, yes / no ??

-Do we need a tutoral section?? In this section I will place all the great guides you lot make in there relevant category so they will be easier to find.

-Reviews section, I am thinking of looking in to installing some sort of review section, so you can review hardware / Games / homebrew and so on, Do you think this will be good for the site??

-Wallpapers section, Where you can upload your favourite wallpapers for the PSP and other users can download them

What do you think of the above, and do you have any furthur ideas???

    Thanks

yes a download section is what this site really need.
then we can stop sending people away from this site to find
    firmwares and homebrew.
and a tutorial section would help out all new members as it takes a bit to get use to this forum and know where posts are.

I vote for the Downloads and Tutorials section. As for wallpapers and themes, maybe you can add it as a separate heading under the Downloads section and allow members to upload there. For firmware (custom or otherwise) and homebrew apps, I believe files should be uploaded only by mods, or if members upload them, checked for malicious code by forum mods.

Yes a download and tutorial section will be very nice it will also keep thing organized as well, instead of trying to go through all of the threads just to find things.

definitely the tutorial section...then you don't have to find your specific section that should have the guide you want...if you need a guide just go to the guides section and do a search
Trust me, if I could make love to my PSP...I would...

As a new guy who has been reading and searching a good bit I will say that a well organized and easily understandable tutorial section would be a huge blessing.

For instance, I have read how to make a Pandora but it says I need to be able to run homebrew before I can do this, and in order to do homebrew I realize I need to see what kind of mobo my PSP has and so forth. My point is maybe there is a way to keep me from reading 8 threads to figure this all out?

Yeah, like have the Tutorials Section, then make sub sections, with the same name as the normal sections.
So, to find psp's "Converting a PSX Game into a PSP Eboot" guide. You'd go to Tutorials>Emulation>T3h Guide...
    That'd be great.

Downloads section. I think people would still link to QJ or something, although, it might be nice. You'd need a lot of storage...

Wallpapers section sounds useless. That's what Digital Arts was... DA is still the same thing, only it supports more than just wallpapers now. The wallpaper thread serves us well enough.

As for the Reviews section. Well, I can't really speak for that.
I'm not sure how well that went as a trial, only because I never looked at it.
Personally, I can guarantee that I'll never go in there, and I find it hard to believe others would too... But, if it worked well in the trials, then I guess you ought to add that too.

I think all of those ideas would be very welcome to the site...although because this site was made to be a forum, does it have the resources to support hosting many files? Also perhaps instead of "wallpaper" perhaps it would be more beneficial if the site hosted themes, seeing as we get q's on where to get them literally every other day. But besides that I vote to implement all of your suggestions

Digital Arts = Themes, Wallpapers, and request your own ____.
Theres no need for two theme sections.

I think you should also add some kind of an RSS mod to the forum, so we can see the latest posts listed. I find that very useful, because then I see all the posts, and I can easily decide what I want to reply to.
