I believe older versions of 5.00 M33 had a sound error, where no sound would come out of the psp.

Did it work, when you downgraded to a lower software?

Yep, it worked wonders on 4.01 M33-2 that is the lowest I went and it's actually the default firmware when I first bought my system, as in this is my first custom firmware version before I upgraded to 5.00 M33 and so on, but I decided to upgrade to 5.00 M33-6 again, but this time I did it differently.

    Instead of going from 4.01 M33-2 > 5.00 M33 > 5.00 M33-4 and then finally to 5.00 M33-6 which is what I did last time, I upgrade straight to 5.00 M33-6
from 4.01 M33-2 - 5.00 M33-6, we need the 5.00 M33-6 update with the 500.PBP original Sony update. I did this on 19th May and it's been a week and the "no sound" issue didn't come back I pray and hope that it stays this way until my PSP is out of commission or better yet, forever!

If it acts up again I'll wait for a newer firmware update or just downgrade to 4.01 M33-2.

Forgot to ask ya, so how is your PSP now? You got it fixed or something, and was it indeed the speakers or you found other ways to fix it?
