a double post is when you make a post then answer yourself in the next withought noone else inbetween the 2 so basically 2 posts in a row by the same person...use the edit button on the bottom of your post.. understand?

its if you post something, then post again right after it before anyone responds.

Because it can be used to bump a post higher in the list when people are ignoring it on purpose because it is a worthless post. Also it is a way to gain post count by being a post whore. Some forums are stricker then others about certain things, this forum happens to enforce the double post rule very strickly, some forums enforce the advertising rule very strickly (we don't so much).
    Before you post please
Read the sticky's Read the manual Use the search button Google it

cause its annoying and childish. people do it when they forget something in a post too. its so much easier to just use the edit button.

double posting is ok in 2 instances:

    1. when your mass photo posting with limits on the forum. and only higher posting members can get away with it

    2. when your writing a major turtorial and you run out of space in one post

right, and those people who do that are experienced and trust worthy. Not just anyone can post a bunch of pictures in more than one post. We (jf you guys let me speak for all of you) would prefer you post links to pictures unless it is like a tutorial, because some people are on 56k(not me ) and it takes countless hours to load a thread.

on most forums, if your respected, its ok to post lots of pics in a post. but im kind enough to make a title like this: "Car Project Pics (56k Warning)" for all the folks on the slower connection speeds

I like the "no double" posting rule. Keeps noobs in line and if they misbehave and make some 1 real mad, they can get banned.

Why not alter the PHP code to only allow you to post if you arent the last poster of the thread? Wouldnt that make it more clear and stop more unneeded messages from people saying NOT to double post?
