Since this firmware is almost a pinch to install, it will be straight-forward and to the point. Anyway here's how to install Dark_AleX's nifty and amazing Custom Firmware 3.02 OE-A!

How to install OE-A! (The hard, and fulfilling way)
1.50 USERS
1. Although it's not required, back up all your data in your PSP and format the PSP's memory stick to be free from any fuss over install errors.
2. Download custom firmware OE-A from QJ.net, the link will be provided below.
3. Unzip the contents of the file and you will find two groups of folders. OEUPDMAKER and OEFLASHER. Be sure to copy those as well as their counterparts into the GAME folder.
4. Download the 3.02 JP EBOOT, and the 1.50 NA EBOOT from QJ.net, also found below, and place them into the OEUPDMAKER folder (not the one with the % sign) and rename them 302 and 150 respectively.
5. Disconnect the PSP and run OEUPDMAKER from the GAME menu via memory stick and follow instructions to install it.
6. Once done, reopen the PSP via USB and go to the OEUPDMAKER folder and you will find the DATA.DXAR file. Copy that file onto the OEFLASHER! (not the one with a % sign)
7. THIS PROCEDURE NEEDS AT LEAST 75% BATTERY LIFE. However, you can bypass that by holding triangle and the L trigger if you think your battery life is good enough. I also stress that it is mandatory that you need to have your PSP plugged in at all times. Anyway, now it's time to flash. Follow the instructions, start the flasher, and then place your PSP in a safe place until the flasher is complete. Now just restart your PSP once the flasher says so, and make sure to completely turn it off, not just let it go on sleep mode.
8. Once you turn off your PSP, turn it back on HOLD THE R TRIGGER to enable recovery mode. This little gadget will help you out of bricks (Happened to me a lot when customizing 3.02 OE-A) and recover you back to 1.5.
9. Go to CONFIGURATION> then place any configurations necessary for your preferences, but be sure to set the firmware to 1.50 KERNEL MODE.
10. Exit the recovery mode and then enjoy 3.02 OE-A. Be warned that it will give you a blue screen of death sometimes, but it's fine.

2.71 SPECIAL EDITION USERS
Although not exactly recommended by me you can still do it VIA 2.71 SE-C
Just follow all the instructions on 1.50, but make sure to put the items in GAME150 instead of GAME.

HOW TO INSTALL AND USE 3.02 OE-B
1. Download OE-B off of QJ.net
2. Place it in the GAME150 folder of your 3.02 OE-A, if you do not have one, please create a GAME150 folder and place it there.
3. Follow the instructions and run the update.

That was the simple part. Now here comes the bit of a hard part, using the popstation converter to convert your PSP backup ISOs into playable PSP Eboots!

Pre-procedure
1. Manage to find HOT SHOTS GOLF 2 for the PSP PS1 emulator.
2. Place the contents of the popstation folder into a folder on the ROOT of your C: drive. This will make everything easier in the long run.
3. Place the HOTSHOTS GOLF 2 EBOOT and KEY.BIN files into the popstation folder, and rename the eboot from eboot.pbp, to BASE.pbp.
4. Put backup ISO, IMG, or BIN, into the popstation folder.
All of these files should not be in subfolders inside the popstation folder.

Actual procedure.

Go to the command prompt (Run>CMD, or WINDOWS KEY + R then type cmd) and then type this.

Quote:
CHDIR C:\FOLDEROFPOPSTATIONSLOCATION
Be sure to be exact about it, once you do so, it should show your folder as the directory you are in. Once that's done, type this out:

Quote:
popstation NAMEOFISOHERE.ISO
Be sure to have no spaces in the ISO's name, it makes it easier, so rename the ISO until there aren't any spaces.

Now you have to wait until the eboot is created, and after wards, just make a folder, an example would be (SLUS-00242) and place it into your GAME folder, not the 150 one. Afterwards, place the newly created EBOOT.PBP and the KEY.BIN file you used into the SLUS folder you created in your GAME folder. It should look like this:

Memory stick > PSP > GAME > SLUS > EBOOT.PBP and KEY.BIN

Now enjoy you PS1 emulation and 3.02 OE!

TROUBLE SHOOTING:
If you happen to not have CYGWIN1.DLL to use the popstation converter, go here to install the full package:

Edit: I'll add the way I customized eboots soon!

Lol - yet another popstation GUI.
This one also fixes the save paths etc, and allows customisation of the pictures. I've tried to make it as easy to use as possible.

This package also includes the KEYS.BIN and BASE.PBP file so all files are included!

STABLE version 1.05:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/ktnn1d

This special Popstation GUI comes with a smaller BASE.PBP (which only contains the files actually needed. Since you don't need to run the command prompt any more, it makes converting much easier. All you need to do is browse for your backup ISO, then place it in an output folder. (Default is the original folder) and then select the save code you need for the game.

You can also customize game eboots by just putting them in their respective little slots on the bottom of the GUI.

Heres a sample of an eboot I made for the game EINHANDER:
