Hi all,

My PSP was running on 2.5, so I downloaded EBOOT.PHP for 2.71 and succesfully upgraded to 2.71. Now, using full installation file with voice tut, I downgraded to 1.5 and managed to get the red screen after second attempt. Few mins passes, and it now turns off - blank screen. Next step is to turn it on and get the blue screen BUT I don't get anything!!!. The light power is on (green) but the screen stays blanks..

Do I screwed up?? Please help..

your complete screwed and have a bricked psp at the moment.

No, not that one.

it's the red screen when it flashing the 1.5FW. Everything runs fine as per the tut, until the part where I supposed to get the blue screen

well to be honest if u get a black screen and the power button still goes on yeah u got a brick check online i don't remember where there has been a person that knows how to unbrick it yes it is possible even if u don't put a new motherboard

YOu did a very confusing and 'old' guide, Theres no need for red screen and then blue screen.

Sometimes if you press the "Brightness button" when you see only "blank screen" the screen will show up, some people think their brick its just a little bug. Try that, if that does not work, try taking the battery out and leave it like that for at least a min and put it back.

If nothing works, youve got a brick

That's stange bcos I'm follows the official guide.

So, it's confirm my PSP brick then..sigh.

Yank the battery, remove the AC power, then hold the ON button in the ON position for 10 seconds to drain any residual charge. Then let it sit for 10 mins. Then put the battery back in, plug in the AC power, and turn it on.

->If nothing shows up on the screen push the brightness button and see if something shows up (this worked for me).

->If the brightness button does nothing just leave the PSP alone with the black screen for 10mins and try the brightness button again just in case it was working on something.

->If that doesn't work turn it off, repeat step one, then hold down the R button and continue holding it while you turn the PSP on and see if you get the recovery menu.

If all that doesn't work it's most likely bricked. I've heard from some people that you can call the 800 number, don't tell them what you did (play dumb), and they will take it to their service station via mail and fix it.

did you check your hardware before downgrading? u might have used one of the non ta082 downgraders on a t82 mobo.

Yeah, I've tripled confirmed it's not TA-082 motherboard.

Downgraded already. Supposely I'm on 1.5FW but only got blank screen.

what do you mean by a blank screen you mean a brick.
