136 - 3.40 OE-A Custom Firmware Installation Tutorial (EASY Installer Included)
I've been getting reports that the Megaupload/Rapidshare mirrors stopped working, so I took them down. Just use my site mirror for now, it certainly has the correct file and will not go down.
Thank you.

The easy installer should be just as effective as the manual process. The easy installer just copies the files to the correct locations for you. Saves you a couple steps, since you don't have to move everything to the right spot manually. Either way will work though. |

I think you should also add "PSP must be plugged into charger during the entire process" at the beginning. | They probably didn't add that info because the 3.40OE-A firmware update allows you to bypass the battery check anyway. |

randy | No, you just have the official 3.10. The OE label is only for the custom firmwares, you do not have an OE firmware if you have official Sony firmware. And right now, 3.10 can't be downgraded, which means you can't run custom firmware. Sorry...

143 - 3.40 OE-A Custom Firmware Installation Tutorial (EASY Installer Included)
Need a confirmation here.I was about to flash my firmware from 1.5 to 3.40 oe-a.I already copied the required file into my memory card. And there were icons showing up,the first one is 3.40 oe-a firmware install and the other one is corrupted data.Is this normal or the file that i'd downloaded from the mirror already corrupted?I re downloaded the flasher from the given mirror, loaded everything into my memory stick, the same thing showed up...some help please

@glayshire... The corrupt icon is normal. You should be fine. Once you get custom firmware installed, you can hide the corrupted icon from the recovery mode. Pretty much every eboot shows the normal icon and one corrupt icon.
@randylwjr... You have custom firmware already, not the official Sony firmware. Any OE firmware is a custom firmware. OE = open edition |

Works again now
