Hey, I've been detached from the PSP modding community for quite a while now due to some unmentionable circumstances... but now I'm kinda back!

While browsing through the forums, I keep seeing FW 3.90 M33 everywhere and decided that it was time to shed my present FW for possibly the newest one.

Now, I know that some, if not most, will simply dismiss me a tell me to go use the "Search" button. Please know that I have and I've read the Guide sections along with other posts concerning custom FWs but I've come up empty handed and decided to simply post. So here's the question;

-Can I directly upgrade from FW 3.40oe-a to the latest FW?
-Do I have to degrade to 1.5 then build back up? If so, how do I go about it?

PS; What's this "Pandora's Battery" I keep hearing about? Is it this magical battery that really unbricks the world?

Upgrade to 3.52M33-4

Then upgrade to 3.90M33

Or create a PB to go directly to 3.80M33 and use network update to install 3.90M33

Pandora's Battetry = Unbricker / Downgrader (for slims cfw installer) for all psp's

So I'm assuming that I can directly upgrade to 3.52M33-4 by shoving the update files into my GAME folder? And then do the same with 3.90M33?

Updating to 3.52M33, place it into GAME150.

For 3.90 however, yes it goes into GAME.

Thanks for the help! But when I tried to upgrade from 3.52M33 to 3.90M33, the screen hangs after the files unpack. More specifically, I run the EBOOT and that leads me to a black screen where it says; "Unpacking..." or something close to that, then when it's done, a new line of text pops up to say; "Please what..." and it just hangs there.
So I'm like... "???"
