Ok, so you need any region Lumines, or greatest hits, or platinum to do the Lumines downgrade.
But will Lumines 2 work? Or does it have to be Lumines 1... (Searches for recipt..)

2 - Lumines 2 for downgrade? 2 - Lumines 2 for downgrade?

Only the original and greatest hit lumines can downgrade... the new version of lumines 1 and lumines 2 can't downgrade.
Cause there is a new version of lumines 1 that dont that the homebrew thingy on it, somehow the maker of that game kinda patch it.

The need for Lumines has pretty much been renderred obsolete after the introduction of Pandora's Battery.

Damn. I thought that, but I remembered reading the other versions (not knowing them at the time - platinum & greatest hits) work, so I just bought it.
