1 - Wow, I'm overhwlemed. A little guidance?
Sorry to be the typical newb, but I am just confused.
I have a fat PSP with firmware version 3.80. What method do I need to use to get a firmware like 3.71 m33-4? |

Pandoras battery and magic memory stick, downgrade then upgrade to 3.71 M33

Is there a guide for all this? I found this:
pspmod. com/forums/psp-hardware-guides/28839-easy-use-pandoras-battery-guide.html
Sorry, it just seems like there are so many methods and some of the methods are out of date or not used anymore. |

Ok, I just made myself a pandora battery and I am in the process of making a MMS. What do I need to do the downgrade step? |

You won't need to downgrade because if you are using hercules's guide to make the magic memory stick. then after you are done you will end up with 3.71 m33-2 so you won't need to downgrade you will need to actually upgrade if you want to go to 3.71 m33-4. but i don't know why you'd bother wasting time upgrading because 3.71 m33-2 is just as good.
trust me i know what to do with hercules's guide because i used it too. and if u look under my name on the left then you can see I still have the 3.71 m33-2 that the guide gave me.
if you need more info then you can email me at raypatel70@hotmail.com or raypatel70@yahoo.com.

Unless there are new MMS files that let you go straight to the m33 CFWs. |

No, he can go straight to (virtually) whatever firmware he wants. If you use a DCv3 installer, you'll end up with 3.71m33. The 1.50 workaround is only for those who are able to downgrade WITHOUT pandora (ie, they have a firmware for which a downgrader exists, such as 2.71).

It was the one I found that held my hand the most. Just waiting on my pandora battery to get here now (I destroyed one already trying the hardmod). |
