1 - 3.40 OE-A to ? Help upgrading...
Ok, been out of the scene a while, but i have a PSP (older one) with 3.40 OE-A firmware on it, and i want to upgrade to a higher custom firmware (some iso games won't run on the older firmware) - where do i begin? what do i go to (firmware-wise) - is there steps i need to do this in, or can i go right to the highest DA firmware out? please help!

Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
Hellcat's recovery flasher
download this and copy the folder to psp-->game
run it and follow the onscreen instructions.
Easy as hell!!!Dont listen to people who ask you to do it manually as it will take too much time.
just follow my link and you will be safe and happy!!
pm me if you have any problems. | |

Hi,
Thank you very much. It works and it reads now 5.00 m33-4. However, I still need to have a UMD installed or it won't play the games. Pls advice.

6 - 3.40 OE-A to ? Help upgrading...
Hi guys,
Ive had a PSP for quite some time now and a friend put 3.40OE-A firmware on it about a year ago. I just ran the M33 Creator to upgrade to 3.52M33 and it all seemed to run ok and the black screen said "done click X to exit" which i did, however in the system info it says i still have 3.40OE-A.
Any Ideas as to what has happened there?
Also i have a friends psp which has 2.71SE-C on it any ideas how to update that one?
Thanks |

Hi,
When I first run the recovery flasher, at the end of it the screen turned black but the green light on the right remains solid. I had to take out the battery to restart. It worked and was on 5.00 M33-4. Once, I turned it on , nothing happens , just a black screen.
Do I need to downgrade to a lower version ( I was on 3.10 OE-A) or rerun the recovery flasher again?
Also, I hold the R button and restart, but could not enter the recovery menu to turn off UMD.
Pls advice. Thank you for you help.
Bobby

15 - 3.40 OE-A to ? Help upgrading...
Hi,
I managed to get it working. I did not recall a reset setting option. The problem I faced now is when I off and on twice, sometimes the game does not resume and have to be launched again. So far since I upgraded, it hang twice such that I have to remove the battery.
Do you think I should run the recovery flasher to downgrade to 3.71 or 4.01?
Thank you very much. cheers, Bob |
