well guys now im pretty much retarded, and i dont really understand what im supposed to do. I have 2 fat psp's one with officiall firmware and one i found with m33-6 5.00 already on it (lucky me!) now i was just wondering how i could change the other one. I know i need a pandora battery but i dont know if i need a newer type for 5.00, if anyone could let me know, then id be really thankful (well not that much really) but it would help.

well since you already have cfw then u can softmod any phat battery into a pandora and turn it back to a normal battery. The only thing you'll have to do is create a mms. try using rainsmms maker on my sig

Hmm...
Download psptool v0.8 from here:
File Details-PSP-Tool-v0.8-PSP-Homebrew-Applications -
Copy it to psp>>Game folder.

Now download 500.pbp eboot from here:
4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download 500.PBP

copy it to the root of your memory stick!

Now run psptool from the xmb/mainmenu:
Go to memory stick options
Then Create memory stick!
Select dcv8.

When it asks you to inject time machine ipl select yes
It will then ask you to "Hold a key which you want to use to boot from memory stick" Press L

Your memory stick is ready!!

Now
Go to battery options and convert to service mode battery!!
Your pandora is ready!!

Now insert the memory stick in the psp you want to install cfw
Insert pandora battery with L trigger simultaneously!
Follow onscreen instructions and you are done

Revert back to normal then using normal optionn.

11 - how do i downgrade or install custom firmware onto ofw 5.00 11 - how do i downgrade or install custom firmware onto ofw 5.00

hey guys something else weird happened, i did everything above and now managed to have custom firmware on both psp's, then i thought id rip a umd onto my computer, so i stuck in the con, and then i held select, and where it said memory stick in the usb section, i changed it to umd disk, then i went to usb connection and had a look at the umd, it was 1.53 gb and i thought forget it, then i clicked circle and when i was trying to navigate my psp menu, the screen was visibly shaky and was lagging about 3 seconds, so i took the umd out and then it froze, so i took the battery out, then i stuck it back in and it would start up automatically but the screen would stay blank(green light just shows) then i thought i messed up my psp, but i tried my other psp's battery in there and it still worked, although it was still shaky and laggging, so then i made another magic memory stick and i was able to re install the m33 firm ware etc and it now works perfectly but, i was just wondering what the hell did i do to it? did i just accidentally send the baterry into service mode again? if so, then if i tried this on another psp with official firmware, would i manage to make another pandora battery without cutting it open etc..? or was this just a fluke and am i getting ahead of myself?

no sounds like the cfw didn't install right try this go from install ofw and then go to cfw if that doesn't work if you have a phat downgrade to 1.5 and then go to cfw

He did install cfw right, but he is trying to start his psp using a pandora battery..and downgrading and going makes no difference..

TO thread starter do this:
Start your psp without battery, using AC adaptor
Pop in your battery
Start psptool v0.8
Go to battery options and select convert battery to normal...
This is to convert your current service mode battery to normal one!
