I just bought a darth vader slim for a friend, and wanted to mod it before sending it to them.

I have a PSP-1001 running CFW 5.00 m33-6, and am attempting to use it to create a pandora battery out of a Sony 3.6v 2200mAh phat battery. I am using a 1gb miniSD pro duo stick for the MMS.

My problem: When I attempt to use the Pandora's Battery Creator homebrew app which comes with the "Pandora + Universal Downgrader Easy Installer" program, the PSP gives the generic "The game could not be started." error.

Things I've tried:

-The phat PSP I'm using to create the pandora battery is running in 1.50 kernal mode for the games folder.
-I have also tried putting the pandora creator app into GAME150 and running it from there, same result

So what am I missing? Does this method simply not work with 5.00 m33-6? If so, do I simply downgrade to 1.50 then reinstall everything when I'm finished? Or would it be possible and easier to downgrade directly to something like 3.71 m33-2 (which is cited in the guide I'm using)?

I appreciate any advice you guys can give.

If you don't want to install another firmware, you can download OSPBT 0.6.
It is exactly what's it's called, an Open Source Pandora Battery Tool. It's always worked, even on my -6 firmware.
