im new to all of this psp stuff and i just want to modify my psp so it can read iso files and cso files.

so, my psp is a AB026597 188-PSP 2001. it is black ( just in case if you need to kno)

and lastly it is original frimware v.5.51

so please if somebody could tell me if it is possible to hack it i would be happy.

its confirmed not hackable, and since its on 5.51 you cant use chickhen

ok ty. i have heard of downgrading the frimware if the psp. is it possible i could downgrade my psp to an earlier version? and if you could tell me what chickhen is? sryy for the questions im clueless about the psp.

chickHEN is a homebrew enabler so it allows the ability to use and play apps and games made by regular codersm called homebrew.
if you had 5.03 you could of used chickhen coupled with an other apps to get the features of a fully hacked psp.
and you cannot downgrade your firmware.
