1 - What happened to my PSP?! Did it brick?! :(
Hello everyone on pspmod, i recentley just bricked my psp, or something....
Thing is, i really envy the people who have FW, so i decided to use the MMS and PANDORA battery method to have CFW, so i used the noobinstaller thingy majiger, and i followed all the steps to make a MMS, after that, i opened up into my PSP and tried to take one of those things out LOL( Don't know what's it called) to make a Pandora Battery. Actually, when i tried to use a knife to take it out, it sparked lol, so i purchased a new pandora, thing is, i think i messed up and when i try to turn on my psp with the pandora in, all i can see is black, the power button is on BTW....
So question is, is my PSP doomed? O_O Please say no haha, but then again, if it is, i guess it can't be helped |

well if you don't have access to the usb mode or a card reader, then you better find one cause you can't without |

So, i'd suppose this is the only way?
Let's say, i DO access usb mode from a computer that has a memory stick reader.... just do the same old thing? Why does it work this way? If you don't mind me asking |

1. I'm not really sure what you're saying in your first post, I'm guessing it that you tried to hardmod your battery and ruined it, then bought a new battery and made a pandora, a pandora is not a normal battery, so once you have installed cfw then you can revert it to normal or buy a new battery
2. what I mean is if you've made your mms correctly you'll come to a screen that says install m33 select m33 and then boom you're done |

Oh, sorry for not making things clear. Are you familiar with noobinstaller? I used that thing.
i'm sorry psp-goon, i don't think your post would work, as it says i have to access the psp through USB mode? My psp, when i put the pandora battery in, just has the green power button T^T Or rather, i just get a black screen

You can buy a PB or you can make one. If your computer has a card reader you can make the MMS, or use any other device that supports SD or Sony Pro Duo Memory Stick. |

At first i was kinda scared because it didn''t do anything.... but when i pushed up the power button i was amazed that it actually turned on!~
Oh, and Athen, i have already a MS and PB, so could i *borrow* my friend's psp with my MS and create a new MMS through his PSP's USB mode? Does that work?
~~~~On a side note, what do you guys think went wrong? i have the pandora battery and everything, so it must have been the MMS, i must have done something wrong while trying to create a MMS or something.... is that correct to say? I also really want to have the new firmware updtae 5.00 M33-6, i have OFW 3.71 Does anyone have a post that i could use to get the new CFW? Thanks
The problem is that the memory card does not have the proper files, when you put in the psp battery it reads the files from the memory card to start the install... without the proper files it just stays black, don't worry I got scared too but nah it's fine it works just fine.
EDIT: To update CFW by default M33 has the network update set to the M33 update and not official Sony updates...
So when you go to the home menu go to where the "Update" button is at and it will download all the required files to update to the latest CFW(5.00m33-6). When it's done downloading go to games and start 5.00m33-6 update it will then update your PSP CFW when done you can check for yourself by going to system information and checking out the firmware version. Congratulations, you now have the latest PSP Custom Firmware(5.00M33-6)!
