ok. Ive had my psp since 2005. I have pritty much NEVER gone on it. All of a sudden i want to get final fantasy on it and ive heard its possible to get ps1 games on it. I checked my software, it is 2.01. I have a 4gb memory card and a usb? if that helps. I need a walkthrough on what to do. Not a website, a walkthrough please. I dont know what custom firmware is or what i need to do with it? will someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

Right, firmware is what run's your psp, sorta, its hard to explain. So, you have a psp phat yes? Right, you will need a pandora battery and Magic memory stick or you can do it the chickHEN way.

Okely dokely, Google how to hack your psp using chickHEN. There are loads of guides, its simple. I'm not gonna write out a whole guide, because i have a 25% chance of failing. So, Find a good guide on youtube or google, then do it. You may need to upgrade to 5.03 though, so do that first. Try googline that as well.

If you have any problems, come back here, and i'll try my best to help you out.

i was just wondering,the game i want supposably runs on 3.40 oe but if i got 5.03 would that mean it wouldnt work on that or does that just mean it will still run and maybe a little bit smoother?

I didn't quite get that, if your saying that you have a game on umd, it will work the same with all firmwares.

ok. Im trying to download a game, final fantasy 9. And on the description it says it runs fine on 3.71 mm3 and 3.40 oe. But the only tutorials ive seen on youtube show you how to install custom firmware 5.03 or 5.00 m33/4 ? its confusing me, will the game not be able to play on 5.00 m33/4? id send you the URL but ive not sent 15 posts? The game is a torrent which i need to download.

Here's the thing folks... to me, it isn't so much that a rule was broken. It is the fact that you completely failed to read the rules AND read the notice that is posted right next to the "New Thread" button. If you can't read, then you're an idiot. And if you're an idiot, then you're not wanted here.

I don't like the forum to be a wasteland of padlocks because it looks bad. But allowing someone to just totally sidestep a rule that admin has CLEARLY laid down doesn't really fly either. When will people figure it out?
