What is Homebrew :S

Hi. Today I updated my PSP with firmware 3.40 OE-a and I enjoy pretty much some iso ... uh ... stuff

. Now I hear about some homebrew stuff but I dont know anything about them. Can somone explain with couple of words what is this? And I also whant to ask how to change the Icons on the PSP's desktop (lets call it that way).

Well.. your sure new to this thats for sure.

Homebrew is basically community made programs, applications, games ect.

Icons, well thats XMB themes. You go on some site like evolves, find the one you want and put it into your Flash0 folder via recovery mode. I don't suggest doing so, but using the plugin for xmb mods in my sig instead, saves you from semi-bricking your psp.

if youre new, i suggest making a stop over at my psp modification dictionary thread. its full of our lingo and terms with descriptions of each

I suggest googling up the psp-haxors or psp-hacks website. The post news about new releases on the homebrew scenes, and posts links to downloads.
