PSX load times

I never noticed if load times are any different playing PSX games on PSP. Can anyone comment on this? I wanted to play through the PSX version of Chrono Trigger, but the horrible loading times take much away from the game.. Does upping the clock speed on the PSP have any effect on PSX loading times? Or are loading times completely eliminated since you're playing off the memory stick? Would that depend on the speed of the stick? (I have a 4gb Sandisk, I've watched movies off it with no problem, so I assume its fast enough

)

yes try increasing the clock speed to a maximum of 333Mhz but its a battery drainer

Can this be confirmed as causing a decrease in load times?
