Default Need Advice for Upgrading

Hello everyone, I'm new to all this. I just bought a psp from someone.
It has 1.5 firmware, but still runs on an old devhook .45 from what i could find out. so from what i understand is that devhook (at least this version) emulates up to 2.71 firmware... meaning i can play iso's that need up to 2.71.
okay so i was trying to play naruto and monster hunter 2 (whatever its called)... but they require firmware of 3.40 or so....the emulator is out of date..... so for the question....

1) What is the best firmware emulator,to date, that i should download? which will let me play the newest games released (or upgrade devhook? plays till 3.02?) 2) Any other programs that would be useful to download?
3) When replacing or upgrading devhook... does the old stuff of the MS have to be deleted?

Thanks in advance

i looked up stuff... got an idea of things... but im still lost... hopefully you guy s can give me some direction... so when i search more.. at least im searching the things i need, and not just EVERYTHING

ok looked up 3.52 M33-4

i found some good step by step instructions on how to do it
but how do i start from here?

format my MS with the psp, then just place the 3.52 M33-4 files into the PSP folder of the MS?
should i always delete previous files (like my devhook, or even files like an older M33 .... IF i had them?) before doing ne thing like this?

You wouldn't have older M33 files.

Backup anything you need, format it, then follow the instructions.

There's only one version of 3.52

2, 3, 4 are only updates, not complete firmwares.

You upgrade to 3.52M33, then go directly to update 4.

Then you can format it, and enjoy your CFW.

Stay at 3.52-4 M33. Don't go to 3.71 M33. Or 3.71-2 M33.

considering you need to update to 3.52m33 before you update to 3.71m33, you should update to that and stay there.
imo 3.71m33 really doesnt have enough benefits yet. you have a limited amount of themes, you cant flash anything, and i havent run across a game that requires that high of an update.

Default Need Advice for Upgrading

if you have pandora you can always try out the new firmware out with out concern **well maybe a small concern** but 3.52 m33-4 is awesome tons of stuff for it. i just wanted to update to 3.71 m33-2 just to see whats so new about.

like i said aslong as you have a way to unbrick or downgrade your psp have at it.. thats what makes this hobby fun.
