Nethost with 3.10 OE-A' and IRShell 3.1

Hi,

I've lost my USB cable and thought i'd try to connect via Nethost to put some new games on my memory stick.

I'm using firmware 3.10 OE-A' and IRShell 3.1

I've followed through the many many guides and trawled through huge amounts of forum threads over the last few days but i just can't get this to work.

Basically i can get a connection via nethost to my pc but i can never see any files on the psp.

I have the nethostfs.exe in C:/psp and have iso's in C:/psp/iso.

At this point i would normally start updating to the newer versions of firmware and IRshell to see if thats the problem but as i don't have my USB cable i am stuck with what i've got.

I've tried various helper programs for nethost. eg psphost and Extreme link but all with the same outcome.

Am i doing something wrong with the file directories on my pc?
Does any one have any suggestions?

Sorry for yet another thread started on this well documented setup but i've been reading threads on this for 2 days now and i'm completely fed up with it.

I believe there are some problems with irshell and firmware 3.10 OE. Your best bet would be to try and find an alternate way of upgrading your psp.

And low and behold i post a thread asking and then fix it myself. I'm not sure whats up with 3.10 OE-A' but i went into recovery mode (after seeing the sticky in the custom firmware section of this forum) and set it to use 1.5 for homebrew and its showing files. Then opened the 1.5 version of IRshell.
I'm copying the files across as i type.

One question. Can i leave this as 1.5 and play the files from XMB as usual with them in my ISO folder? or will i need to change it back for them to run? I guess i'll find out soon enough anyway.

Thought i'd just add all of this incase it helps any other poor soul trawling through thread after thread trying to get nethost to show their files.
