Old Error code 80020148 and 8002014C 05-12-2008, 04:54 PM   #1 (permalink)

Firmware Installed: 3.80m33-5

Default Error code 80020148 and 8002014C

I'm having problems getting my PSP Genesis emulator working. I've tried KXploiting it, running it under the 1.50 kernel, running it under the 3.90 kernel, placing it in the GAME150 and running it under both kernels, placing it in GAME and running it under both kernels, tried using patchsfo it with no luck. I've more or less exhausted every single thing I can think of. When running the 3.90 kernel, I get the 8002014C error and I get the other code when I run 1.50. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I have all my iso's, and homebrew apps running fine including a snes, nes, gb and gbc emulator working. It's melting my brain at this stage.

I'm on 3.90m33-3. I have heard that it's possible that changing my vsh may have prevented it from working but everything else works fine and apparently the patchsfo should fix that anyway.

I've searched everywhere and resorted to join a forum just for a solution. And trust me when I say I've searched. If you plan on commenting just to tell me to google it, don't bother. Unless you can help, don't post.

Do you have a slim? If so, my slim just doesn't seem to run some homebrew...

Code:
http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/pspgenesis.shtml
That one of the genesis emulators I tried.

The only psx problem I've encountered is Metal Gear Solid but I can run it on 3.72 pops or less.

And it aint a slim psp. Can I downgrade to 3.80m33 without going back to 1.50 through the recovery? It's a lot of hassle and god knows where I put the 1.50 and 3.52 and 3.80 eboots.

Edit:

Sorry but I can't post links yet so it has to be "code".
And thanks for the help!

You need to place it into a file called Genesis or something like that. Then put it in [Memory Stick]:\PSP\GAME\

You should be able to run it under games and then Genesis or whatever the one you downloaded is called. And I say should because technically, I should be able to too but it wont work for me. All the others work and that is how you do it. You may have two folders, one of which has a % after the name. If you do, put them both into [Memory Stick]:\PSP\GAME\

Put your roms in the one without the %.
