Default PSX help

Hey PSP Gurus,

I got FF7 in Eboot.pbp a couple weeks ago for my PSP from a friend, I have no idea what program was used to convert the .ISO to the eboot file but heres my problem. I can load the game, it comes up to the new game/continue menu. I click on new game, b/c I have no save files, and the screen goes black, my memory light flickers once or twice, then nothing. Any suggestions for what Im doing wrong? Im running CFW 3.90-M33 on my phat PSP. Thanks for the help.

is it a multidisc eboot?? sorry for the late reply. im sure you have figured it out by now but the best firmware to use to run ff7 is 3.71..

you want to run a 3.71 pops wen you load your ff7 eboot..
let me know how you go and if i have been any help..

and if u got it from a friend why dont u ask how he is running it? ask him wat firmware he is using and all that...

anyways good luck.. if i haven;t helped and you want me to explain popsloader some more then just ask..

Idiots....FF7 can hardly be played on your psp. You need to do the first bit of FF7 on your PC then convert the save to your psp. You know your screwed when you upgrade your psp's fw.

i have played through the whole of the first cd on firmware 4.01.. you need to run pops 3.71 through popsloader and it runs fine...

so you dont need to play it on your computer first navycamo.. however if you have been playing it on your computer and you want to know how to convert saves its not that difficult..

the easiest way to do it is through CWcheat by putting ur .mrc file into the mc folder of cwcheat..
for example if your were playing ff7 then you would put ur save game into ur mc folder of cwcheat as scus_94163-0.mrc notice the -0 at the end being the memory card which can go all the way up to 255 if needed. and before that you have the sony code of the game..

otherwise simply run your multi eboot or single disc eboot through 3.71 pops and everything will run well
