can someone explain to me what this "cheat device" program does? Do you need any specific CFW to run it?

well I havn't been keeping track of homebrews for a long time but the cheat device might not work anymore. Unless they keep updating it. It was an old homebrew like a memory editor while a game is running. So check to see how old the cheat device homebrew is. If the date is quite old, it might not work with new custom firmwares anymore

i have cheat device. one make sure that you also do this in recovery: go to Advanced > Advanced Configuration > And the enable Plain modules in UMD/ISO. and next make sure you have the right cheat device for your firmware and the right text in your GAME text. once you have it enabled propperly it should pop up on your screen. L + Up to close or open the cheat device menu. PM me for any more questions.
