Hm. I suppose so. Thank you. So I tried doing an install of IRShell (on my new firmware 3.90 m33-2) and I get the same problems.

1. I can see two IRShell icons on XMB under game. They both have different backgrounds, like they're different versions or somethin. And following the two icons is a third icon with "corrupted data".

2. When I go into revovery and enable IRShells plugin, the SONY logo startup thing goes fine. But right XMB loads the screen just goes blank but the PSP remains on and my only obtion is to turn off my PSP.

irshell is buggy in the newer firmware,but you also prolly dont have the irshell that was made for 3.90 irshell3.9 i think it was.but like ive said before it hasnt worked great ever since 3.80,and personally i never liked irshell.just another thing to make your psp go slower running a shell on top of the actual xmb of the psp

Well. Maybe I'll take your advice and say screw it. Can you suggest some other good apps? I've searched through QJ alot but only downloaded a few things.

it all depends on what you want your psp to do.i test practically all homebrew so i usually can answer.such as the best writing program is pspwrite 1.1.1 with wordwrap and such and itll open .lua .inis .docs .cfg .config etc

if you want in game music theres 3.90 music plugin you would search for i think the name is.theres too many just to list.it all depends on what you want to do on your psp.theres prolly a app out there to do just bout anything.except for wep cracking on the psp mind you.that question gets asked alot lol

I already tried to find the WEP stuff. I was a little shocked there wasn't anything.

its due to the fact that the psp cant handle wep cracking personally,or from what im led to believe.another reason might be developers would get serious jailtime for something such as that

Yeah. That'd suck to get caught doing stuff like that. Also, what use does PSPWrite have then? I don't really understand how opening files is very useful.

its a writer program like an advanced wordpad,notepad lua writer ini writer etc all in one.it has its uses if you like the concept of writing stuff on your psp.or rewriting coding to your taste etc

You can run the IRSHell with the 3.90 patch, the 3.80 version that is.

So I wouldn't give up yet.

I think Ima check it out again and determine if I like it or not. Wish I woulda picked up another 4 gig stick...ISO are hefty files. Don't know how in the hell I forgot that.

Stick with cfw 3.71 M33-4 it will work without any glitches.
