I answered this question from you in the chat box already but to say it again..no PS2 emulation is not possible.

This is going to seem harsh, but it has been covered and covered again to a ridiculous degree. Here it goes again. Before anyone jumps on this thread and tells you there's no PS2 emulator yet for PSP, I'm here to tell you PS2 emulation on PSP will never be feasible.

The fact that there's still no decent PS2 emulator for any home computer platform is evidence enough that there will never be one for PSP. Typically emulation of any hardware platform requires at least ten times its processing power. There's also audio and video processing and overhead from keeping it all synchronized in some cases. The PSP's main processor can be clocked higher than the PS2's, but only by a minute amount, and its graphics chipset is weaker. Consequently, it doesn't have the power emulate the PS2's hardware at an acceptable speed, or an unacceptable speed for that matter, and its hardware is not similar enough to run PS2 code natively.

PS2 = 64 Bit MIPS R5900 + 2 Vector Processors
PSP = 32 Bit MIPS R4000

That doesnt even go into the PS2's graphics processor and the fact that you would need an 8GB memory card for the DVD sized ISO's. PSP's clock cycle isnt even relevant.

AS above, never happen. For people who know nothing of the hardware its a semi valid question. Even worse would the morons who want to play ps3 games on psp.... now thats an actual dumb one.

$3k games...? Must of torrented your ass off. If you bought those games then why wouldnt you be able to play them? And if you did spend $3,000 on umd's then another 8gb ms shouldnt even cost a thing a you.

Mitochondria, over the years i have about $3k in PS2 games and with no mem card as mine went for a swim in the toilet due to child intervention -_- it is near imposable to play any of them (on the PS2) no torrents. all legit

anyway thank you Rain and Tets for explaining why it is not possible and DarkFoxSniper I was not questioning you about it, however all u said was "no" in the chat and I was mearly looking for a 2nd or 3rd opinion

thank you guys (and gals if there were any)
