ChickHEN R2
I'm just posting what I did to enable homebrew on my psp3000. When I first tried learning on how to do the steps I was kinda frustrated on how complicated it seemed. This post is just me sharing my experience to kinda give others who haven't been successful with chickhen some sort of help.
Make sure your psp has 5.03 ofw installed
1. I formatted my 2gb memory stick using the psp
2. Restored settings
3. Turn off umd cache and umd auto-start
4. Formatted memory stick again
5. Connected psp to my pc
6. Placed h.bin in memory stick root (not MP_ROOT)
7. Placed "ChickHen" folder in "Picture" folder
...other sites mention putting the ChickHen folder on Photo folder but I'm not sure if that would work
8. I didn't restart the psp, after transferring the files to the proper locations just go ahead and go to Picture (Or Photo) ---> ChickHen
9. Don't do anything until black triangle "Options" on lower right side shows up
10. Wait for "Options" icon to disappear
11. Then click ChickHen folder
12. I didn't don anything but just looked at the eggs gif images
THEN POOF!!! Screen kinda goes crazy for few seconds then it restarts by itself
To confirm you've been successful, do the same way to check the ofw version..it should say ChickHen r2
The moment I saw this... I was freakin yelling and so freakin ecstatic.. I HOPE YOU'D FEEL THE SAME WAY, TOO!!!! LOL

As of finishing typing this post, I haven't yet done cfw enabler and haven't even yet tried playing homebrew games, I'm just so freakin happy i got this workin... so my "quest" is not yet complete lol |
